boobies The end of World War 1 left many territorial disputes in Europe. These disputes set the stage for a new world war. In 1929 the world fell into a deep economic depression. Germany's already damaged government from World War I was hit hard by the depression, this fragile system allowed for the newly formed Nazi party to come to power in Germany. With Adolf Hitler as their leader the Nazi's took control of Germany and made plans for the future with strong ambitions. Hitler's ultimate goal was to "secure" living space for "the master race". "The master race" was anyone of the Aryan race or of Aryan decent. Hitler started to form strong ties with Fascist Italy under the dictatorship of Benito Mussolini, he also formed a cease fire pact with the Soviet Union in order prevent a two front war. Meanwhile Japan's rapidly growing economy and huge population desperately needed more raw materials. Japan invaded China in 1937 beginning their struggle for more land and raw materials. Soon these three nations Germany, Japan, and Italy became allies and formed the Axis powers. On March 15th 1939 Germany invaded Czechoslovakia. The United Nations let Germany go under the belief that this will be their last and only territorial invasion. On March 31st Britain declares full military support towards Poland. Then on September 1st 1939 Germany invades Poland. Two days later the allied nations of Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand declare war on Germany officially starting World War 2. On December 7th 1942 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor officially bringing the United States into World War 2.
